Two-day denim fashion show

ONE of the city’s premier shopping destinations has brought to Dabawenyos some of the best denim fashion clothing as it hosted the Denim Movement Festival last July 18 and 19 at the Atrium.

On July 18, 5pm, the LCB Performing Arts Center heat up the Atrium of SM Lanang Premier as its dancers performed some numbers in ballet, hiphop, and jazz while garbed in a range of denim coordinates during the Denim in Motion fashion show.

On July 19, still at 5 p.m. at the Atrium, a lot of Dabawenyos were able to take a peek of the latest jeans styles worn by some of the hottest local models during the Project Denim: The Runway Show.

While enjoying the various chic ideas on how to carry the available denim products of Forever 21, Cotton On, Aeropostale, American Eagle, Marks and Spencer, Mossimo, Penshoppe, Guess, and Promod, the audience got even more ecstatic when Filipino-American model and Mr. World-Philippines 2014 John Spainhour and former Philippine Azkals player Yannick Tuason walked the runway.

Apart from the two fashion shows, a special setting of denim wears like tops and jeans was also set-up at the 2nd level of the mall, just near Starbucks, to give shoppers a few tips on how to mix and match various denim styles and designs. The said Denim Bar featured the denim products, as well as fashion accessories, of Guess, Marks and Spencer, Penshoppe, Oxygen, For Me, Promod, and Forever 21.The Denim Bar showcased the versatility of denims.

For someone who loves jeans and a number of denim stuff, the fashion shows and the Denim Bar were definitely a great help on how to pump up the outfit and exude that level of confidence for wearing not just a comfortable outfit but a perfectly stylish set of garb.

Special thanks to Ms. Acey and Ms. Arianne for the photos.
