PNP holds physical fitness activities for personnel

THE Philippine National Police (PNP) held various activities at the Quezon City Memorial Circle on Saturday to promote physical fitness among its personnel in the National Capital Region (NCR).

Dubbed "Pulisteniks, Bisekletahan, at Takbong Anibersaryo 2014," the activity, which was part of the PNP's 113th Police Service Anniversary, aimed to maintain the physical fitness and well-being of each active member of the police force to be able to perform well in the community.

PNP Public Information Chief Reuben Theodore Sindac said the program was set to sustain the effectiveness of police officers in seizing criminals.

The program catered activities like Taebo and Zumba, bike ride, and three- kilometer run.

Personnel of the national headquarters, NCR Police Office, and special action force joined the workout.

Mascots of the Northern Police District were also present during the zumba exercises.

The organizers were able to attain their goal, as the flow of the program were productively accomplished, one of the participants said.

Meanwhile, Public Safety Mutual Benefit Fund Inc. (PSMFBI), Public Safety Savings and Loan Association Inc. (PSSLAI), Smart Telecommunications, and Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) sponsored the event.
