About 45 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated market value of P270, 000 was seized in a buy-bust operation conducted by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental Sunday afternoon.
Arrested during the operation at Gustilo Street in Barangay 3 were drug pushers Norhuda Angagao, 32, and Norsida Montasir, 19.
PDEA team leader Johnna Mirador yesterday said Angagao and Montasir were arrested after they sold a sachet of suspected sachet to a poseur-buyer for P1,000.
Police recovered from their possession one small heat sealed plastic sachet of suspected shabu, the P1, 000 marked money, and a plastic ice wrapper containing suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride).
Mirador said the suspects, who were under surveillance for almost a month, are detained at the lock-up cell of San Carlos City Police Station.
In another development, a suspected drug pusher was arrested by personnel of Bago City Police Station at Purok Sampaguita, Barangay Poblacion Sunday evening.
Police identified the suspect as Rogen Iligan, 37.
Superintendent David Cachumbo, chief of Bago City Police Station, said Iligan sold a sachet to a police poseur-buyer for P100.
Police recovered from Iligan’s possession were two big elongated plastic sachets of suspected shabu, the P100 marked money, and a cellular phone. (MAP)
