Christian Bautista reacts on new SAS timeslot

CHRISTIAN Bautista is experimenting on what he can do on television and said he's more open now to changes when it comes to his showbiz career.

Starting Monday, the singer will try his hands again in acting as he's part of the newest Kapuso series "Strawberry Lane."

According to Christian, he's happy that since his move to GMA-7, he was able to not only sing or perform on boob tube, but was able to harness his skills in acting, hosting and even in dancing.

Christian was also asked about the changes on the timeslot of weekend concert program "Sunday All Stars (SAS)."

The singer said it was the decision of the management to push their timeslot from noon to 2 p.m.

"Personally, I'm fine with that because we don't get to wake up early, we're more prepared and sometimes parang if you just want to do your own thing also, then lagi kang kino-compare. Of course, competition will push you to be better, but sometimes we get to experiment more," Christian said.

"With this format, we're creating more segments. It's becoming a new variety show and not necessarily competing with my friends in ASAP. It's different and it doesn't have to be the same thing. Ang mag benefit dito are the viewers. They get to watch full ASAP and they get to watch full Sunday All Star," he added.

Christian said that he's not disappointed with GMA-7's decision because he should learn to cope with these changes.

"I'm still here at SAS. I have to live with these changes. There will always be changes in our work. One thing na nakasanayan ko, and still sinasanay ko pa rin ang sarili ko, is I got to go with these changes and work with a team," Christian said.

"I'm blessed with two programs, SAS and Strawberry Lane, and I'm hosting the 'Marian' show. I'm very happy," he said. (Sunnex)
