Karla Estrada: Daniel Padilla knows who leaked audio clip

KARLA Estrada, the mother of Teen King Daniel Padilla, confirmed that they already know who leaked the audio clip of her son.

Interviewed by "Aquino & Abunda Tonight" on Friday, the former actress said the person who leaked the audio on the internet was actually Padilla's friend from their former home at California Gardens in Mandaluyong City.

Estrada said that she asked one of her son's friends, who was also present during that private conversation, and he was pointing to one person alone.

Estrada said she was disappointed that the people they welcome inside their house are the same people who betrayed his son.

She said Padilla opted not to confront his friend.

Estrada also believes the person who recorded the conversation was not aware that it was illegal to record private communications.

When asked if her son is planning to press charges against the perpetrator, his mother hinted that her son decided not to.

"Hindi niya naisip [violation] 'yun kasi nga mabait sa kanya si DJ kaya siguro akala niya he can get away with it.

Under the Anti-Wiretapping Law, it is illegal to record or intercept a private communications not authorized by all parties.

Estrada also shared that after the circulation of his son's audio clip, she immediately texted Kathryn Bernardo's mother, Min, to apologized for her son's behalf.

While Metro Manila and nearby Luzon areas were being hit by Tropical Storm "Mario," the former actress visited the Bernardos in their home. She was able to talk to Kathryn, whom Estrada said, was very quiet during the conversation but was also holding back her emotions.

Maganda ang pinagsamahan namin and mahal ko sila," she said.

In a separate interview with Padilla, he said Bernardo was hurt by the controversy but she understood his situation and she has forgiven him already.

Amid the controversy, Estrada said that she is still proud of her son because he manned up and faced the consequences of his actions.

Napakasarap na kinalabit tayo ng Diyos sa ganitong paraan lang and we have to be thankful. Imagine hindi mas malala," she said.

"I'm so proud of DJ.

She then reminded Padilla to be wary of the people around him, as some will grab any chance they could get to take him down.

(Sunnex)
