A TOTAL of 21, 463 dogs and cats were vaccinated by the City Veterinarian's Office (CVO) from July to September 23, 2014.
City veterinarian Dr. Cerelyn Pinili, in an interview with Sun.Star Davao, said that they have already covered barangays in Buhangin, Talomo and Tugbok districts.
Pinili said that they also celebrated the World Rabies Day last September 26 in Calinan District wherein they had vaccinated 122 dogs, castrated 30 dogs and gave free vitamins and consultation.
For their information and education campaign (IEC), which is still under their rabies control program, they have already conducted 53 sessions from July to September 23 with a total of 1,223 participants.
Pinili said that for this week, they will conduct mass vaccination for dogs in Dacudao until Friday but owners can still avail of free dog vaccinations in their clinics.
