THE Black Knights clinched two titles while SOS Children's Village Football Club (FC) and Ateneo de Davao University (Addu) bagged one title each in the 8th SOS Children's Village Football Festival held at the Davao City National High School (DCNHS) field over the weekend.

The Black Knights beat Crocs FC in the 12-under boys finals, 3-0. Digos FC and Philippine Women's College (PWC) placed third and fourth, respectively.

Special awards were given to Black Knights' Sebastian Rendon as most valuable player (MVP) and Chubby Garcia as best goalkeeper.

Black Knights also won the 14-under boys division title after nipping Sakya FC, 2-1, in their championship showdown. The latter placed second while Ateneo and Hyenas FC occupied the next two spaces.

John Mark Diamat was named MVP while Jessie Val Ambong was best goalkeeper.

SOS FC, meanwhile, escaped past Sakya FC via penalty shootout, 4-3, to claim the 16-under boys division title.

Ateneo coach Rachelle Delos Reyes, in a Facebook chat with Sun.Star Davao, said that she's satisfied with team's performance, saying:"I had faith in them especially I've noticed that they've given their best to win although there are still areas we can improve in terms of the technical and tactical aspects of the game but I'm still happy for them."
