FORMER president Fidel V. Ramos is scheduled to meet with Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte in the city tomorrow in time for the 2nd BIMP-Eaga Trade Fair and Business Leaders' Conference.
Duterte said Ramos requested a meeting with him when the former president comes to Davao City to attend the BIMP-Eaga event tomorrow.
The mayor said he has no idea as to what Ramos wanted to discuss with him.
A highly-placed source however said the meeting with Ramos will include the 2016 presidential race.
The source said that Ramos, a retired military officer, had been keeping in touch with both active and retired military officers to get their feel on who is the best presidential candidate.
The source, however, refused to confirm if Ramos would be announcing his support for Duterte come 2016 presidential race.
Just recently, both Ramos and Duterte confirmed that some Filipinos have been recruited to join the terrorist group Isis.
