Creamy concoction

BEEF stroganoff—or stroganov if you prefer—is a famous dish of beef sautéed in sour cream, from Russia. Over the years culinary masters have made their versions of it, including chef Sarrita Pimentel behind the eponymous Café Sarree, who serves her take on it with pasta.

Calling it creamy would be an understatement. Simply labeled in the café as The Stroganoff, it is beef and mushroom chunks atop a bed of linguini, in rich cream sauce that has been seasoned with a special blend of spices.

The dish is complemented with slices of toast and lemon at the side, which all in all makes it a satisfying meal to have in any time of day, in any day of the year—World Pasta Day or otherwise. Café Sarree has outlets in Escario Central and Ayala Center Cebu.
