LUBAO -- Bank of Florida (BOF), Central Luzon's regional rural banking champion, on Friday reached out to hundreds of indigent patients from several barangays in this town with its first ever medical mission.
Some 300 adult and pediatric patients gathered for the half-day mission at the function hall of Saint Agustine Parish Church, for free check-ups, medicines and freebies, made more fun with free snacks and goodies from a featured “spin a win” wheel after the beneficiaries had their check-ups and got their prescriptions.
The bank partnered with the Pampanga Medical Society, Philippine Academy of Family Physicians, Community Pediatricians Society and Lubao Municipal Health Office for the reach-out project, which proves that BOF keeps true to its promise of “being deeply rooted in communities it serves.”
The medical mission is part of BOF’s many outreach activities, like its “Brains+Energy” campaign, where the bank, together with the Lubao Municipal Nutrition Action Office, is visiting 15 villages across the town to participate in the “Supervised Neighborhood Play” program.
The project allows kids to join in learning activities, which is followed by a feeding program.
“Indeed, BOF is more than a rural bank. It is family,” said Bank of Florida executives. (JTD)
