Kaskade live in Cebu

Grammy-nominated international DJ and record producer Kaskade will perform in his first solo indoor show in the Philippines on Dec. 12, Friday, at Liv Superclub in Mandaue City. Put together by Spectrum Philippines and Kaskade’s production team, it’s pegged not just a music fest, but a massive spectacle that includes, among others, LED screen visuals and strobe lights that sync to his music.

In a press conference held the previous week, Spectrum Philippines chief executive officer Ken Onozawa noted that Liv, with its size and technical capacities, was the only local venue that qualified for his show’s setup. “Kaskade has spent the last few years building his shows. It’s something you have to experience. He adds a lot to it that makes it very lively and magical,” Onozawa said.

Kaskade—real name Ryan Raddon—entered the house music scene in early 2002. The 43-year-old Chicago native was credited for being one of the artists who brought back American progressive house, and in 2011, was labeled by The New York Times as the “new face of electronic dance music.”

He has produced eight studio albums to date, and has performed in major music events such as Lollapolooza and Coachella. His last performance in the Philippines was in the 7107 International Music Festival held in Clark Field in February this year.

Fresh from his Atmosphere World Tour, Kaskade will bring in some of his well-known hits such as his debut track It’s You, It’s Me and Last Chance for his upcoming Cebu show. Ticket details are available at http://spectrum.ph/kaskade/.
