TEAM Cebu City beach volleyball team’s key player Louijie Tipgos decided to drop out of the squad for good.
Tipgos, 27, a former member of the University of San Jose Recoletos (USJR) beach volleyball team, which has won several titles in the National Nestea Beach Volleyball annual tournament, will be leaving the team after landing a job abroad.
“I love playing beach volleyball, but I can’t always play because I have a family that depends on me. I decided to quit from the team and focus on my job abroad," said Tipgos.
Tipgos paired with Jade Becaldo was instrumental in winning the second place finish of the Olympic Zonal, then both reached round of 16 of the 4th Asian Beach Games in Thailand.
