Motorcycle-riding gunmen rob businesswoman

A BUSINESSWOMAN was robbed of P30,000 by riding-in-tandem gunmen in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, the police reported Tuesday.

The Zamboanga Sibugay Police Office said the incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. Monday in the village of Sta. Cruz, Kabasalan municipality.

The police identified the victim as Claricel Bacani, 40, who owns a pharmacy in the said town.

Investigation showed the victim was on the way home aboard her tricycle driven by Ferdinand Balbuena, 34, when two gunmen riding-tandem on a motorcycle blocked their path.

The gunmen took Bacani’s bag containing approximately P30,000 worth of sales from her pharmacy.

The culprits sped towards the direction of Siay town in the same province after the incident, the police said.
