THE Zamboanga City Government has recommended the closure of 38 slaughterhouses found operating illegally.
Amelia Amar, team leader of City Hall's Task Force Karne, said the slaughterhouses are owned by businessmen engaged in the lechon (roast pig) business.
Amar said the City Government is putting up a roasting area in its slaughterhouse to cater to lechon dealers. (Bong Garcia)
