Megaworld’s Forbes Hill in Bacolod has many ‘firsts’

REAL estate developer Megaworld Corp. is bringing in many “firsts" for its Forbes Hill that will be developed in its 53-hectare Northill Gateway township.

The Northill Gateway will rise along the Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road (BSAAR), which is envisioned to be the next booming side of Bacolod.

Rachelle Peñaflorida, vice president for Sales and Marketing of Megaworld Premier Bacolod, said the 15-hectare Forbes Hill that will be located near “The Ruins” is the “first upscale residential village of Megaworld in the entire Visayas and Mindanao.”

As such, it is the “first upscale village in Negros Occidental offering first-class lifestyle amenities closely accessible to residents,” she said.

Aside from the clubhouse, the village’s extended amenities include the mall and commercial centers that will operate even past closing times of most malls in Bacolod, she added.

Forbes Hill will be the “first and only upscale residential community in Northill Gateway. It is also offering the “first Live-Work-Play township in Negros Occidental” and the first of its kind to rise in the BSAAR.

For his part, Harold Geronimo, head of Public Relations and Communications of Megaworld, said Forbes Hill will be the “first low-density residential community in Bacolod” with only 197 lots.

It will also be the “first to feature an underground cabling system,” he added.

Forbes Hill will also be the “first upscale residential village in Bacolod to have a grand entrance featuring a giant fountain garden.”

Geronimo said Negros Occidental has abundant lands which made the company decide to have a residential village here where residents can enjoy the view of mountain ranges of the province amid the sugarcane fields.

“This is a place for a good retirement,” he said. The residential community will be unique when it comes to visuals and ambiance, he added.

Forbes Hill is also the “first residential property in Bacolod to be featured in the first ever issue of Forbes Philippines.”

He said development for the Northill Gateway will start in the first half of 2016.

Meanwhile, Geronimo said they will also announce their big plans for the Upper East development located on a 34-hectare property near the Bacolod Government Center.
