A MAN who was arrested in a drug bust operation is facing multiple charges before the City Prosecution Office for allegedly peddling illegal drugs and illegally possessing firearms and explosives.
Facing charges for violation of section 5, 11, 12 of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act), and Republic Act 9516 (illegal possession of explosives) is Oliver Sotto Francisco, 26, of Matina Aplaya.
According to Talomo police, an informant came to their office and reported that the suspect is allegedly peddling illegal drugs locally known as shabu in nthe area, prompting them to launch a drug bust operation against the suspect.
The Talomo police then coordinated with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Davao in conducting the operation where they were able to arrest the suspect. They were able to seize seven heat-sealed transparent sachets containing suspected shabu, an improvised tooter, a plastic kit, a .38 revolver smith and wesson, six bullets, one holster, two pieces of fragmentation grenade MK1, an Iphone, a black bag, and the drug bust money from the possession of the suspect.
The suspect is currently detained at the Talomo police precinct while Prosecutor Victoriano Bello Jr. has yet to resolve the case. (RCP)
