PHILIPPINE Sports Commissioner Akiko Thompson along with other PSC officials will lead the short opening rites of the PSC-Davao Football Association (DFA) Women in Sports Football Festival set on Saturday at the Tionko football field.
DFA women's committee chair Rachelle "Ching" Delos Reyes bared this in an interview with Sun.Star Davao on Wednesday.
The women's footfest features the girls born-2000 and women's open categories.
Delos Reyes said a total of 13 teams are entered in Girls Born-2000 while 19 teams will vie for the women's open title.
Confirmed teams include Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU)-Lady Knights Football Club (FC), Lasang FC-A and B, Southpoint School (SPS), Crossing Bayabas National High School (CBNHS), Montevista FC, DNFA-A and B, Pantukan High School, Soya-A and B, Black Knights FC, Mkids-Bukidnon, Aguilas Dabaw FC-A and B, D'DS FC-Khanj, D'DS FC-Hinex, SPC-A and B, Lasang FC, SOYA FC, Phillippine Women'S College (PWC), AdDU-College, UP Varsity, UP Alumni, Indangan Strippling Warriors and University of Mindanao (UM).
An officials and coaches' briefing is set before games begin.
