Paul Soriano to focus on wedding details

THE soon-to-be Mr. Toni Gonzaga is set to focus his attention on more details of his upcoming wedding to the country's Ultimate Multimedia Star once the Manny Pacquiao biopic "Kid Kulafu" is out in theaters.

The movie started hitting the big screens nationwide today.

In a Cinema News report on Cinema One last Sunday, commercial and film director Paul Soriano admitted that he and fiance Celestine "Toni" Gonzaga barely have time to plan out for their wedding because of their hectic schedules. However, this doesn't mean that they, especially him, are not excited about the big event.

"Of course, very excited ako! It's a new chapter of my life. Parang you know, forever na 'yan. But to be honest, Toni has been very busy, I've been very busy. I just came from LA, Toni left for Australia," shared the grandson of one of the country's most priced actors in the past decades, Nestor de Villa.

Paul said the moment the Kapamilya actress and host comes back from her trip, they will surely discuss more details about their wedding. Toni and sister Alex Gonzaga went to Australia for a two-night concert.

"So, the only time we're going to really sit down and plan this wedding is when she comes back," said the 33-year-old director who added that the soon-to-be Mrs. Paul Soriano has already picked a gown for their wedding day.

"I know she chose a dress already. I'm very behind. I haven't picked up a suit yet or anything like that. I'm going to work on that, I think, after 'Kid Kulafu' comes out," he said.

Meanwhile, the entertainment website www.pep.ph ran down "five reasons why Paul Soriano is a good catch for Toni Gonzaga." So read on to know about these major points.

1. He's successful and passionate for his craft.

The portal shared that what makes the handsome director even more appealing is the fact that he knows what he wants and he certainly made a number of moves to achieve them. Before becoming a film director and launched his film production outfit in 2013, Paul directed a TV ad in 2006.

2. He can match Toni's wisecracks!

While many will say that he is a quiet and serious type of guy, Paul actually knows how to throw some antics as well. PEP cited one incident which made them realize that he also has a comic side: When asked about their honeymoon after the June 12 wedding, he said, "It's our first time to do a solo trip, 'di ba? So, far away from Mommy Pinty! So they can't follow. Hindi, joke lang!"

3. He looks adorable even in his unguarded moments.

Well, some (or majority of us) have good and bad angles, but this guy seems to only have a good angle. So, bring out the camera!

4. He vows to secure Toni's future.

Paul was quoted saying, "I would like to be the one to provide for her...for the rest of her life" in an interview with "The Buzz" last February 1.

5. He's God-centered just like Toni.

In an interview with PEP, Paul exclaimed, "Highlight of our relationship? I think faith in God. I think that's the only reason why we've been together this long. Yun lang. 'Cause if it's just us, wala na."

Although, there was never a confirmation from either of the two camps as to when they will exactly tie the knot, many have speculated that it will be on June 12, which falls on their eighth anniversary as a couple.
