THE Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) is stepping up security operations for Holy Week.
“All the station commanders will intensify their checkpoint operations,” said
Supt. Calixto Mabugat, officer-in-charge of BCPO.
Officers will also be deployed in places where big crowds will converge such as churches, bus terminals and sea ports.
Motorist assistance centers will also be set up, Mabugat said.
“It’s expected that there will be an influx of people to different churches. We advise the public to secure their residence, especially the electrical connections, before leaving for Lenten pilgrimage and not to bring valuables to avoid attracting the attention of robbers,” he added.
