Guv pledges diagnostic center for Mexico town hospital

THE Mexico Community Hospital in Pampanga will soon have a diagnostic center.

Governor Lilia Pineda pledged on October 25 to subsidize the construction of a P10-million diagnostic center to deliver general health laboratory services for indigent Kapampangans.

She said the proposed diagnostic center is a modest medical facility with a wide range of affordable services such as medical and laboratory examinations, radiological examinations and other procedures.

“Doon sa diagnostic center mayroon ng CT-scan, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Electrocardiography (ECG), Impedance Cardiography (ICG) at Colonoscopy,” Pineda said.

She added that Representative Aurelio Gonzales Jr. also vowed to allot P45 million for the expansion and development of the community hospital.

Meanwhile, Pineda reiterated the free health benefits offered by PhilHealth, emphasizing the importance of maintaining good health and proper well-being through the no-balance billing policy of the Duterte administration when admitted in government hospitals.

“Gamitin nyo yung mga medical data records (MDRs) nyo. Pa check-up kayo para matignan yung kalusugan nyo. Matakot kayo kapag malala na yung sakit nyo (Use your medical data records. You should have yourself checked by your doctors),” she told recipients of the MDRs.

Assisting the governor during the distribution of MDRs were Mayor Teddy Tumang, Philippine Councilors League-Pampanga Chapter President Frances Olga David-Dizon, Board Members Rosve Henson and Ananias Canlas Jr., and provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Elizabeth Baybayan.
