NOHS ’93 hosts bowlfest

NEGROS Occidental High School (NOHS) Class 1993 hosts this year’s NOHS Alumni Association Inc. Duckpin Bowling Festival for Unity which opens Saturday, October 28, at Negros Super Lanes in Bacolod City.

The opening ceremony at 4:15 p.m. will start with a motorcade at the complex’s car park followed by a short program then a final meeting with the team managers or captains.

Citoy Taño, over-all chairman of NOHS Class ‘93 Alumni, said the bowling event seeks to promote camaraderie, physical well-being, and teamwork.

“At the same time, we are helping the alumni association (NOHSAAI) to unite its members through this sport,” he added.

The team of five must have four male bowlers and at least one female to play every game.

Registration is P1,400, excluding lane fee of P450 per night.

Guests expected to arrive are NOHSAAI president Judge Moises Nifras of Class ‘54, vice president Charina Magallanes-Tan of Class ‘92, auditor Fitzgerald Fuentes, and directors El Cid Familiaran of Class ‘78 and Effie Macasa of Class ‘95.

The bowlfest committee is headed by duckpin director Alex Fantilanan of Class ‘93 with protocol officers Glori Libo-on of Class ’89, Hernan Garciniego of Class ‘73, Tammy Sumogat of Class ‘84, Henry Toga of Class ‘96, Rodrigo Garcia of Class ‘95, Peter Deocadiz of Class ‘94, and Joemar Baylon of Class ‘99.
