CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Police Regional Office (PRO)-Central Luzon on Monday, October 30, assured the public of intensified police operations to ensure safe and peaceful observance of All Saints’ and Souls’ Day.
PRO-Central Luzon director Chief Superintendent Amador Corpus said that the whole Central Luzon police will be on full force to cover all cemeteries, transport terminals and other convergence points in the region.
He said that he has deployed more than 4,000 police personnel in the seven provinces to monitor situation and maintain peace and order in public places.
He added that motorist assistance centers manned by road safety marshals are also installed in major and secondary thoroughfares to provide round the clock assistance to motorists and commuters travelling this holiday season.
Corpus also said that he directed all provincial, city and municipal directors to ensure maximum police presence to discourage any criminal activities and provide quick response to public.
“I have directed our provincial and city and municipal directors from all stations to continuously conduct police focused operations and sustain the level of alertness and vigilance to avoid any untoward incidents during the whole observance of All Saints’ Day and Souls’ Day,” he said.
Corpus reminded the public to monitor their surroundings and immediately report to police any suspicious activities.
He also asked for the cooperation of the public on the police operations, particularly checkpoints that will be implemented throughout the holiday season.
“I want to remind our public to also be wary and alert so as not to give lawless elements the opportunity to carry out their nefarious activities. While we have already disseminated all safety tips and we also established police assistance desks. Do not hesitate to report any incident to the police,” he said.
