‘Killer’ of dogs, cats not yet identified

BARILI, Cebu Mayor Marlon Garcia yesterday said there is no evidence yet that could point to the culprit who killed 17 dogs and five cats in Barangay Poblacion last Saturday morning.

Garcia said that an investigation is already being conducted by the Municipal Government and the town police, but they should be careful in naming persons unless they have basis.

The mayor believes that somebody who is aggressive did it, but he trusts the police to identify and gather evidence against the perpetrator.

“We are getting to the bottom of this. But at this moment, we are still gathering evidence on the matter,” Garcia said. (EOB)
