DCTRCDD celebrates 14th anniversary

DIGNITARIES and guests gather during Davao City Treatment and Rehabilitation Center for Drug Dependents' (DCTRCDD) 14th anniversary celebration at Tugbok, Davao City on Friday, October 27, 2017. The event started with a mass officiated by CBCP President Archbishop Rodulfo Valles.

After the holy mass, the program began with an exciting and entertaining dance and song presentations from the DCTRCDD administrators, staff, and residents. All of them were in their cowboy and cowgirl costumes.

Mayor Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio was not able to attend the celebration, Councilor Joselle Villafuerte, however, read Mayor Duterte's message for the celebration on her behalf and she quote, “DCTRCDD has served those who are drug dependents, transforming their lives and shaping their tomorrow. Through its holistic interventions and programs, it has helped drug dependents in their lifelong struggle in drug addiction”.

Also, in lieu of President Rodrigo Duterte, Dr. Herminigildo V. Valle – OIC-Secretary of Health joined the celebration, congratulating the Dctrcdd in helping victims of drug dependents, helping them break free from the bondage of drugs and transforming them to become better people in the society.

Valle read President Duterte’s message “Indeed, DCTRCDD institution have undergone transformations as it comes closer to its vision of becoming a treatment rehabilitation center that is equipped with the system that embodies therapeutic community , complete with quality treatment and programs implemented and monitored by efficient and dedicated staff and personnel driven by the common desire to help promote recovery and social re-integration and working towards a better and brighter future”

Congratulations to DCTRCDD transformations, most especially to Dr. Gene Gulanes who become the instrument to serve drug dependents unconditionally! To God be the glory!
