PDEA-Central Luzon nabs 4 suspects in Bulacan drug sting

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Four suspected drug personalities were arrested by joint operatives of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Luzon, Bulacan Police Provincial Office and San Rafael police in an anti-drug operation conducted in San Rafael town in nearby Bulacan province Tuesday.

PDEA-Central Luzon Director Joseph Ladip identified the suspects as Erwin Bajaro, 53, Alvin Caldozo, 42, Angelica Borina l, 26, and Victoria Jimeno, 30, all residents of Barangay Sampaloc, San Rafael, Bulacan.

“The anti-drug operation transpired at 1:40 p.m. in Barangay Sampaloc wherein a PDEA agent who acted as poseur buyer succeeded to secure a drug deal from the suspects for the purchase of 50 grams of "shabu" (methampetamine hydrochloride) for the agreed price of P300,000”, Ladip said.

He said that the four drug personalities have been in the PDEA radar for almost a month until their arrest.

Confiscated from the suspects were four transparent plastic sachets containing more or less 50 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P300,000, various drug paraphernalia, one black Honda civic and buy-bust money used in the operation.

The suspects are now detained at the PDEA-Central Luzon Jail Facility in Diosdado Macapagal Government Center, Barangay Maimpis, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

Charges for violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) in relation to Section 26 paragraph B (conspiracy to sell), Section 12 (possession of drug paraphernalia), Article 2 of Republic Act 9165 are being readied for filing in court.
