A 14-YEAR-OLD boy drowned in the seawaters off a beach resort in Langtad, Naga City at 12 p.m. last Tuesday.
Police identified the fatality as Adrian Arcenal, a resident of Sitio Mohon, Tisa, Cebu City.
Investigators learned that the boy went to the resort with his friends.
He was swimming near the shore when his older friends told him not to go to the deeper portion of the sea.
His friends later saw him swim farther from the shore, where he drowned.
A rescue team was called to try to save him.
Arcenal was rushed to a private hospital in the city, where he was declared dead on arrival. (KAL)
