Before forever

WATERFRONT Cebu City Hotel and Casino hosted a two-day wedding fair last month from Oct. 6 to 7.

Waterfront’s “Wedding Expo 2017: Weddings at the Waterfront” was two days of showcasing the best choices for the day when one finally says “I do.” Experts in the industry from wedding suppliers and photographers to stylists and caterers exhibited their works in the hotel.

Meanwhile, the Pacific Grand Ballroom was completely transformed into an ethereal secret-like garden in the city: white leaves on the trees, floral decors from the ceiling; the colored lights were constantly changing as each side of the room featured thematic table and place settings. To add, cakes as well as bridal gowns from talented designers were on full display.

Between the opening, ribbon cutting ceremony and table setup competition, two bridal fashion shows happened on the first day of the wedding exhibit. La Voilette, meaning veil, made for a grand start as it showcased the bridal designs of the members of the Cebu Circle of Fashion Creatives: Edwin Alba, Rei Escario, Bree Esplanada, Alejandro Godinez Jr., Pinky Magalona, Mel Maria, Lord Maturan, Manuel Tomaque, Mike Yapching and Rey Humberto Villegas.

That afternoon, Clair de Lune (French for “light of the moon” or “moonlight”) took centerstage featuring the designs of the Fashion Designers Association of the Philippines Cebu Chapter: Lemuel E. Rosos, Mark So, Brendon Cenon, Griffins Malazarte, Hanz Coquilla, Danny Booc, Mel Maria and Harley Ruedas.

It was all romance, elegance and that magic feeling in the air—and that was just the first day before forever.
