Official: Undas in Pampanga generally peaceful

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The observance of All Saints’ Day in Pampanga was generally peaceful, said Pampanga Police Provincial Office Director Senior Superintendent Joel Consulta on Thursday, November 2.

According to Consulta, no untoward incidents or illegal activities related to All Saints’ Day were recorded by the Pampanga police for the whole day November 1.

He noted that while all police personnel were deployed in various cemeteries, public places and convergence points to provide quick response, they were only utilized to assist individuals and motorists.

Consulta added that the public also willingly submitted the prohibited items they brought at the inspection area installed at the entrances of public cemeteries.

Consulta, meanwhile, commended the police all over the province for a successful monitoring and surveillance during the two-day holiday.

He said that with the combined efforts of all stations and the cooperation of the public, Kapampangans were able to peacefully observe All Saints’ Day.
