BCPO nets high ranking in Napolcom inspection

THE National Police Commission-Cordillera's yearly inspection of the Baguio City Police Office yielded an excellent mark after the recent three day activity which determined the degree of their compliance with the directives from both the agency and the Philippine National Police.

BCPO Police Community Relations Unit head Police Senior Superintendent Vic Orcino said around 500 police personnel assigned with the different police units and 10 sub-stations in the city underwent the inspection not only of policy directive, but together with their documents, uniforms, firearms and equipments.

Orcino explained director Sol Benwaren's expression on the importance of area of convergence and cooperation between the Napolcom and PNP is to attain a balance perspective for the betterment of public and police service.

"This annual activity is very important as an evaluation device and control mechanism which ensures a higher level of effectiveness in the operation of the PNP with emphasis on the endeavour to improve rather than criticize," said the PCR head.

The result of the inspection will also be considered as basis in crafting new policies and standards for the PNP to better serve and protect the community.

Orcino reiterated Benwaren and the commission’s objective that Napolcom and the PNP should not only build a good image, but more on the satisfaction of the clients and the community they serve.

“Your support and cooperation with this endeavour will bring forth success. We will continue to be the best police and hand-in-hand to work together,” Benwaren earlier told the local police.

Napolcom Baguio's evaluation of accomplishments of the BCPO during the entrance briefing headed by City Director Senior Superintendent Ramil Saculles covered the operational and administrative accomplishments of the organization through initial findings of the Commission in its findings in previous inspection.

The yearly inspection of the commission headed by Napolcom-Cordillera Director Editha Puddoc was accompanied by Deputy City Director for Operations Superintendent Tirso Manoli and Deputy City Director for Operations Superintendent Freddie Lazona was held October 24 to 26.
