CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - Dying to go shopping in the longest mall in the country but afraid of being stuck in heavy traffic?
SM City Pampanga has good news for you.
Shopping in SM City Pampanga has become easier and more convenient after the newly-developed road network along the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) interchange going to the supermall was opened to the public recently, just in time for the Christmas season.
From the 2x2 lane road of Jose Abad Santos Avenue in front of SM City Pampanga, the major thoroughfare was developed into a 3x3 lane road by the Manila North Tollways Corporation to cater to more motorists.
The NLEx Bridge connecting the two interchanges, which was identified as a bottle neck area, was also expanded into a four-lane road on both directions to decongest traffic, benefitting kabalens wanting to go for an early Christmas shopping at SM City Pampanga.
Alongside the new road network is the installation of traffic lights on all intersections in the area to systematize the flow of traffic especially on NLEx interchanges where hundreds of vehicles pass by everyday.
The SM City Pampanga mall management, for its part, also implemented a one-way traffic scheme inside the mall compound to ease traffic flow and minimize long queues in parking areas.
Commuters going to the north, south and Metro Manila are also in for good news as the newly-renovated SM City Pampanga Bus Terminal is now operational.
The 3,500 square meter terminal provided bus bays with one-way entry and exit which is intended to prevent public utility buses (PUBs) from causing traffic.
Open 24 hours, the terminal caters to several PUBs with daily trips to Manila (Avenida, Caloocan, Cavite, Cubao, Sampaloc and Pasay), North provinces (Bataan, Baguio, Cabanatuan, La Union Olongapo, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Zambales) and South (Cavite City).
And because it is the season of giving, SM City Pampanga also launched the GO traffic campaign where the mall management mounted directional signs to send the message that the road to SM Pampanga has been made more convenient.
The GO traffic is a sub-campaign of “Meet Discover Repeat,” a multi-channel and multi-segment campaign that focuses on the shoppers with selected preferences like food, toys, fashion, technology, sports and blogging that will make their stay in the mall interactive and fun.
Aside from shopper-friendly, the country’s longest mall is now also motorist and commuter-friendly.
Let’s go and shop at SM City Pampanga!
