Soya FC bounces back

SOYA Football Club (FC) bounced back while the Philippine College of Technology (PCT) stayed unbeaten in the resumption of the 14th Acosta Cup Women's Football Tournament held at the Tionko field over the weekend.

Soya FC redeemed itself from a heartbreaking 0-4 defeat to PCT by beating Sikat Alab, 4-0, Sunday behind the heroics of Agot Danto who netted two goals.

Siblings Nikita and Zulika Yee chipped in one goal each for Soya FC.

Soya FC coach Merlo Albano said that they still have more to learn and improve despite their fifth year stint in the tournament.

PCT, for its part, showed its fiery form by beating veterans-laden D' Davao Survivors on Saturday.

Joyce Semacio scored all six goals.

PCT coach Alvic Troyo, who has been with PCT for three years now, said their constant practice continued to condition the players to dominate each game.

He advised his players to keep their composure in every game.
