SM sets unveiling of Christmas Village of Hope, Tree Lighting

SM City Cebu will unveil to the public the biggest Christmas Village of Hope on Nov. 11 at The Northwing atrium.

Envisioned as a village symbolizing the joyous blessings and atmosphere of the Christmas Season, the Christmas Village of Hope will match the ceremonial lighting of the giant Christmas Tree at 6 p.m.

The Christmas Village of Hope conceptualized by couple Clayton and Joji Tugonon is defined by miniature figures of houses and community attractions. This year’s display will consist of over 700 miniature houses and five sets of running trains. Added attractions are the moving figurines, Disney’s Mickey and Minnie Mouse figurines, Christmas Mickey Mouse train, and a lot more.

The Christmas Village of Hope is an annual fundraiser for the benefit of children with cancer under the care of Kythe Foundation Inc. Donors may visit the Northwing Atrium beginning Nov. 12 for their donations and pledges, or check the Facebook account bearing the name “Christmas Hope” to choose the “Christmas Houses” they wish to adopt or sponsor. The figurines for adoption will cost from P5,000 to P30,000. The proceeds will help fund the laboratory and imaging procedures, medicines as well as the Kythe sponsored celebrate life parties and events.

Visit the Christmas Village of Hope and witness the lighting of the giant Christmas Tree, and stand in awe at the beautiful Christmas decorations and displays. Shoppers will also get to witness the official start of the long Yuletide season with the lighting of the Christmas Tree at the Northwing Atrium, plus lots of surprises and world-class entertainment.
