'Ronda police’s anti-criminality efforts continue'

POLICE Regional Office (PRO) 7 Director Jose Mario Espino said that Ronda Police Station’s anti-criminality efforts will not be affected by National Police Commission’s decision to strip Ronda Mayor Mariano Blanco III off of his power to supervise the town police.

Blanco can no longer chose his police chief because of his alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade.

In an interview, Espino said it is up to Blanco whether or not he will continue to support the station.

“If he will continue providing support, then that is a very welcome move,” Espino said. (KAL)
