Taiwanese diver rescued in sea off moalboal town

A 28-YEAR-OLD Taiwanese national was rescued in the seawaters off Barangay Basdiot, Moalboal last Saturday morning. Police identified the foreigner as Po Chi Tsei, who was alone in his free diving, an underwater diving that relies on the divers’ ability to hold their breath until resurfacing without the use of a breathing gear. He reportedly went 18 feet below the sea, then he had difficulty breathing. He went up and waved for help. A fisherman saw the foreigner raise hands. Sensing Tsei was about to drown, the fisherman manuevered his boat near the foreigner and brought him to shore. (KAL)
