AN ELDRELY man was shot to death by his stepson at Purok Mahogany, Barangay Oringao, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental Friday.
Killed was Nelson Camagan, 65.
Investigation showed that Camagan and suspect Jessie Rey de los Reyes, 32, were outside the victim's sari-sari store around 6:20 p.m. when a heated argument ensued between them.
Camagan chased De los Reyes, who went home. The latter took a firearm and shot his stepfather.
De los Reyes fled, and is at-large as of press time.
Police recovered from the scene were two fired bullets and two live ammunition of .45 caliber pistol.
Superintendent Rhea Santos, city police chief, said grudge was the motive.
Homicide charges are being readied against the suspect. (GYM)
