Filipino fusion cuisine at Aposento branch

APOSENTO Makati officially opened its first branch outside Metro Manila at Matina I.T. Park, Davao City last Friday, November 10.

Even as more and more restaurants are being built in the city, Aposento owner Jasper Huang observed that there are still less restaurants found in the southern part of Davao City thus he decided to expand Aposento Makati at Matina I.T. Park specifically catering to families and people who would want to unwind. Their official opening was graced by Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.

“Aposento is originally from Makati. Now, we decided to branch out to Davao. We’re serving Filipino Fusion cuisine. We have very affordable prices with the nice ambiance. Our price is very affordable for good dishes,” he said.

Their specialty meals include Chili Beef Triangles, Crispy Bata, Pinakbet, Sinigang na Tadyang ng Baka, Suam na Mais, Crispy Beef Tapa, and Chicken Binakol among a lot more.

“We’re targeting the families. We’re open from 11 a.m. until 1 a.m. because sometimes there will be others who want to unwind and be left here for a while. They can also drink,” he said.

As Filipino Fusion is not an uncommon concept of restaurants, Huang said they opt to maintain the quality and the consistency of their food taste.

“As we can see right now, in the southern part of Davao City, there are limited choices of restaurants except when you go to the mall. It’s the perfect time also to open here because Davao’s population is growing and there’s a great influx of tourists who come to Davao City,” Huang said on location of the restaurant in Matina.

They plan to expand one place at a time with Cebu City and Bacolod City branches eyed. He targets to have a branch expansion every year.
