Marvil: Summit on students’ safety

THE City Council Committee on Public Protection and Safety, Peace and Order, has scheduled a summit for Grade 11 and Grade 12 students Thursday and Friday, November 16 to 17, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Summit on Public Protection and Safety, Peace and Order is aimed to design, implement, and evaluate crime prevention initiatives responsive to the needs/problems regarding the safety and protection of the students in the city.

It will also seek to endow explicit action plans in reinventing new strategy on how to promote the safety and protection of the students as well as to allow the students to mingle and interact with their fellow participants, develop camaraderie among them, and to give them a chance to share their ideas and inputs to help improve the plans and programs for the promotion of their welfare and security.

It is geared towards the empowerment of students to become instruments in sharing to their fellow students the information gathered during the summit and to enhance partnership between the students, the Baguio City Police Office and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, other national line agencies, and the community in crime prevention and its preemption and possible solution and other concerns. The said summit will be held at the Beneco Multipurpose Hall located along South Drive, Baguio City.
