2 Usep grads top Geodetic Engineering Exam

TWO graduates from the University of Southeastern Philippines (Usep) were among the top passers of the Geodetic Engineer Licensure Examination held on October 25 to 26 in Manila and Cebu.

Wendelyn Dela Cruz Santander ranked 6 (86.60 percent rating), while Tito Sabarre Cabatingan, Jr. ranked 10 (85.40 percent rating).

The overall passing rate of Usep is 86.84 percent.

Among the 750 examinees, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that only 372 (49.60 percent) passed the Geodetic Engineer Licensure Examination.

At Number 1 is Gene Johanno Arriola Nieto of the University of the Philippines-Diliman with 88.80 percent.

The rest in the top 10 are (3) John Andrew Binay Cruz, UP-Diliman, 87.20; (4) James Philip Niog Ancheta, Visayas State University-Baybay, 87.00; (5) Karlo Froy Buquid Arimado, Naga College Foundation; Mary Ruth Ariola Bongon, Bicol University-Legazpi; Arturo Galay Cauba Jr Caraga State University-Butuan, City 86.80; (6) Arian Aberia Torres, Negros Oriental State University (Cvpc)-Dumaguete, 86.60; (7) Jeromie Santos Salas, University of Saint Louis-Tuguegarao, 86.20; (8) Ian Emerson David Almazan, UP-Diliman; Jo Christelle Dizon Letrero, UP-Diliman; Lei Anne Miralles Manasan, UP-Diliman; Danica Poblete Noveloso, UP-Diliman, 85.80; and (9) Gerald Borja Mandia, Visayas State University-Baybay, 85.60.

Last August, with an overall passing rate of 100 percent, Usep made it to the list of top performing schools in the Mining Engineering Licensure Examination. (PR)
