Leveling up the quality of living

WITH developments mushrooming in Davao City, Dabawenyos' way of living also evolved along with progress.

From what was just a simple city living, Dabawenyos are now into condo living.

Raising the ante of living, investors must build luxurious hotels and residences, and leading the pack is Torre Lorenzo Development Corporation (TDLC), Eurotowers and Cebu Landmasters.

Also, other homegrown developers are promising quality living through building hotels, subdivisions and condominiums that offer comfort and leisure.

These homegrown firms which are accelerating presence here are Santos Land Development Corp, Damosa Land, Kisan Lu Lands Inc. and Esdevco.

TLDC invested in developing a five-star residential and hotel, the Dusit Thani Residence Davao and dusitD2 Hotel.

Believing that the Davao market lifestyle can be upgraded, TLDC pushed for the project which recently just had its topping off last November 9, marking the formal completion of the development's structural phase and the first milestone in the Dusit International and TLDC partnership.

“They said it is impossible. But here we are, this project will raise the bar of standard living in Davao City making it truly an international city,” TLDC chief executive officer (CEO) Tomas Lorenzo said.

“It is a place that will blend work and leisure seamlessly with the combination of the finest amenities and world-renowned exceptional service that is distinctly Dusit. We will have a first-class destination that Davao can proudly call its own,” Lorenzo added.

As for Euro Towers International Inc., it prides itself as a property development company focused on creating high-quality residential projects.

Backed up by strong management and competitive technical and marketing teams that have experience in the hotel, construction and real estate industries, the developer is confident in the Davao market.

Its project here is Vivaldi Residences Davao, a high rise practical condominium choice in the heart of Davao City.

For Cebu Landmasters, Inc., they are partnering with homegrown Yuson Commercial Investments, Inc. for three gamechanging projects: the Mesatierra, a mid-market condominium, Riverside Mixed-Use Project on McArthur Highway and Times Beach project in Matina, Davao City.

Jose Soberano III, chair and chief executive officer (CEO) of Cebu Landmasters, said that they are positive with its first venture in the city.

“We are very bullish about Davao City as our next area of expansion, we are targeting to start our first project which will be the E. Jacinto Mid-Market Condominium by 2017, by that we hope we can already do the groundbreaking within the first quarter of next year,” he said.

Majority of the developers here noted that buyers of condo units and residential lots in all property developments are comprised hugely from individuals based outside Davao City.

This, as for developers is expected, as more and more people want to invest in Davao City as various major developments and opportunities are happening in the metro causing them to pour money here.
