Davao City mayor delivers P5-M donation to Marawi

DAVAO City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio personally delivered on Thursday, November 16, to the local government of Marawi the city's P5 million donation sourced from the city's disaster funds.

Last week, the Davao City Council has given legislative authority to the mayor to utilize the remaining funds for disaster.

In photos released by the Davao City Information Office on Thursday, the city mayor was seen visiting evacuees, talking with the military officials, and lighting up candles inside the church situated in the area.

Joining the mayor was Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano who also personally delivered another P5 million donation from Taguig City.

Both lady mayors wore red shirts during their visit as they represented the Tapang and Malasakit Alliance of the Philippines.

It was also reported that Tapang and Malasakit Alliance will be assessing intervention it can provide to Marawi.
