NegOcc joins tourism, travel expo in Luzon

NEGROS Occidental will join the three-day 10th North Philippines Tourism and Travel Expo (NorthPhil) Expo which starts Friday, November 17, at SM City Clark in Pampanga.

Dubbed the largest tourism fair in Northern Luzon, the event is staged as a travel promotion and consumer marketing platform.

It will feature tourism booths selling affordable tour packages, hotel accommodation, airline tickets, and other travel-related services.

It also includes the Buyers Meet Sellers Program, a business matching component where foreign and local buyers meet, network, and do business with the participating sellers.

Cristine Mansinares, provincial supervising tourism operations officer, said Negros Occidental, with the strong support of the Department of Tourism (DOT)-Western Visayas, is a regular participant to the annual fair.

Mansinares said the province’s presence this year will be maximized in preparation for the Philippine Airlines’ inaugural flight from Clark to Bacolod City on December 15.

Sipalay City is joining the provincial team in the fair as well as in the Buyers Meet Sellers Program, she added.

The NorthPhil Expo is organized by the Association of Tourism Officers of Central Luzon Inc., Philippine Exhibits and Themeparks Corp. and the North Philippines DOT Regional Offices. (EPN)
