Police give P50,000 reward money for Jessie Largo informant

POLICE turned over the reward money of P50,000 to the informant who led the authorities to the whereabouts of alleged drug assassin Jessie Largo.

Largo is the suspect in the August 26 killing of Ronli Calizar, the son of former journalist and now Philippine Information Agency employee Ferliza Calizar.

Largo was killed in a shootout with police on October 16 after months of hiding.

Regional Intelligence Division chief Jonathan Cabal gave the reward money worth P50,000 from Mandaue City Mayor Luigi Quisumbing on Friday, November 17.

Also present is Talisay City Police Station is Superintendent Jason Villamater.

Cabal said that the Police Regional Office Central Visayas has not pocketed the money.

"There's a validation para di mapunta yung pera sa mga hindi naman recipient. There was some confusion because it was not P200,000 but it depends on the mayor how much he will be giving," he said. (JOB/SunStar Cebu)
