Bigger Baptizo this year

IN line with Carcar’s annual fiesta celebration, Baptizō brings a music festival like no other to the southern city.

The star-studded three-day music festival will feature performances by South Border, True Faith, Joey G. and local DJs, as well as appearances by several celebrities. There will also be fun activities such as an acrobat show, a painting contest, and a freestyle night motocross race.

“With Baptizō, Carcaranons will be able to experience the events that usually take place in Cebu or Manila. We’re trying to upgrade the kind of entertainment that we bring to Carcar. Expect a lot of exciting things happening in our city,” said City Information Officer Candice Acuña.

This year’s Baptizō will be held at the New Carcar City Center, which has a ground capacity of 15,000. Around 5,000 people attended Baptizō last year. With a bigger venue, more people are expected to come.

The actual Kabkaban Festival will be this Sunday while Baptizō will be from Nov. 24 to 26. All activities are free except the DJ party on Nov. 25.

Tickets are available at Rumour Gastropub, The Sentral, LINX Lounge, LIV Super Club, OQTAGON, Craft, Brewer’s Kitchen, Bad Boyz Wingz and TUF Barbershop.
