Security guard lands in jail, another beaten

AN ASPIRING singer was collared by police after resisting arrest inside a videoke bar in Baguio City last week.

Police arrested Ryan Santillano Lagunilla, 30, a security guard at Grandure Security Agency and a resident of Kisad Road.

Police said Lagunilla was found singing inside the Real NJEL Videoke Bar on November 16 past the curfew. PO2 Jefree Tabangin Tacata said he and PO2 Michael Pangod advised Lagunilla about the curfew, but the latter allegedly ignored him and confronted him instead.

This prompted Tacata to arrest Lagunilla, who was brought to Police Station 7.

A lady guard, meanwhile, tried to pacify a criminology student who was involved in a brawl with a waiter, but ended up being beaten by the student.

Marvin Santiago Asingwa, 22, a security guard at Yanganut’s Bar, filed a case of physical injury against criminology student Dexter Ekman Binlayan, 20.

Asingwa lost consciousness after Binlayan repeatedly struck her. The suspect is now behind bars.
