2 motorcycle riders die in road accidents

TWO motorcycle riders were killed in separate road accidents in Negros Occidental over the weekend.

In Kabankalan City, Larry Taba, 31, of Candoni town was crossing the road when he hit a truck in Rizal Street, Sitio Buri, Barangay 9, at 12:50 a.m. Sunday.

Taba was brought to a hospital but did not make it alive.

The truck was driven by Kevin Andaya, 25, of Mabinay, Negros Oriental.

In Binalbagan town, a teenage driver hit a Ceres Liner bus and was ran over by a truck loaded with sugarcane along the national road of Crossing Da-an Friday night.

Killed was Stephen Requilme, 19, of Barangay Tinongan, Isabela town.

Investigation of Binalbagan Municipal Police Station showed that Requilme was driving at 8:45 p.m. and tailing a truck driven by Rey Hudith, 34, of Kabankalan City.

When he attempted to overtake, his motorcycle collided with the bus driven by Elezer Lopez, 50, of Cauayan town, traveling on the opposite lane.

Requilme was thrown on the lane of the truck.

He succumbed to head injuries. (GYM)
