Military await plan tagging NPA as terrorist

THE Armed Forces of the Philippines Central Command (Centcom) will wait for President Rodrigo Duterte’s proclamation of the New People’s Army (NPA) as terrorists. Col. Medel Aguilar, Centcom spokesperson, said they will stick to what’s legal until an order is released.

“We will not go to that aspect yet (arresting them). We will stick to what is legal.

We have to wait because we have laws for that and I’m referring to the Human Security Act,” he said.

Duterte said he considers the NPA as criminals after an attack in Bukidnon last Nov. 9. (JOB)
