Fire hits 3 commercial spaces in Bacolod

TWO rented blocks of a commercial building were destroyed while another was damaged by fire on San Sebastian Street in Barangay 14, Bacolod City Sunday night, the Bureau of Fire Protection said.

The damage was estimated at P150,000.

Superintendent Rodolfo Denaga, city fire marshal, said they received a call for assistance around 9:30 p.m.

The fire was placed under control after 15 minutes. It was put out at 9:59 p.m.

The three rented blocks were occupied by Mark Espinosa, Eric Mestre, and a lending firm, the BFP said.

The building has 20 units for rent.

Arson investigators have yet to determine the cause of fire. (GYM)
