Hired killer dies in law enforcement operation

AN ALLEGED hired killer and extortionist was killed when he resisted the policemen in a law enforcement operation in the province of Zamboanga del Sur, the police reported on Tuesday, November 21.

The police identified the slain suspect as Josie Enot Orion, Jr., 25, who was rushed but failed to reached alive at the Dimataling Rural Health Unit.

The policemen were conducting law enforcement operation through service of warrant arrest around 6:45 a.m., Monday, November 20, at Sitio Da-Daan in the village of Tiniguangan, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur when Orion resisted them.

The police said Orion allegedly pulled a double blade hunting knife and stabbed one of the arresting lawmen but missed and stumbled on the ground prompting the police officer to shoot hitting the suspect in the forehead.

The police is an alleged gun for hire and known extortionist operating in Dimataling town and in nearby municipalities of Zamboanga del Sur. (SunStar Philippines)
