Le Culinaire opens in Davao City

RECOGNIZING the huge demand in the culinary and hospitality industry, Le Culinaire International Culinary Arts Institute opens on Monday, November 20, at Chavez St., Davao City.

Chef Bambi Lim-Bangwa, founder of Le Culinaire, in a speech during the launching, said that the school aims to play a role in producing competent industry players in the city.

“Our mission is to provide a career-based training program, when we say career-based it is based on industry experience. They have to really encounter to be how to be a chef in the industry,” she said.

Le Culinaire offers courses on Professional cooking, food styling, food sales and marketing, professional baking and pastry, food science, and hospitality management. The institute has a four-storey building that can cater hundreds of students.

She added that with the courses they offer wanted to become to be instrument of the success of the Filipino youth in the industry of culinary.

“Many doesn’t know to compete outside, some graduates doesn’t have the responsibility, the character of a competent Chef or culinary personnel, we want to make students are competitive, have high self-esteem and can be trusted in the kitchen,” Bangwa said.

She also said that entrepreneurial skills are necessary in making big in the industry.

“Soon, we will be offering Tesda (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority) courses in Bartending, Bread and Pastry Production and Cookery, all NCII with themed cook and dine for team building workshop, seminars, family cooking and bonding, friends celebration and kids Disney recipes,” she said.

Davao City Councilor Pilar Braga, who also chairs the education committee, for her part said, the opening of Le Culinaire is a welcome development for the education sector in the city.

“We welcome this development and activity and we urge education players here to always seek for excellence and quality, and I believe Le Culinaire is in that direction as it can traced with its company’s track record,” Braga said.

Le Culinaire is a sister-school of St. Alban’s, a school for technological and vocational courses. It has been operating in the city for 11 years.
