Religious group sets cleanup drive

THE World Mission Society Church of God in Cebu announced it will hold a cleanup drive at the South Road Properties in Cebu City on Sunday, Nov. 26, from 9 a.m. until noon.

Over 200 volunteers have committed to participate in the event.

The activity is part of the church’s global cleanup drive dubbed as “Mother’s Street.”

The World Mission Society Church of God is a global religious organization that not only spreads the gospel, the truth about God the Mother and teachings in the bible, but also practices the love of God through community service.

The church has been honored by several governments in the world. These include a three-time recipient of the US Presidents’s Volunteer Service Award (2015, 2014 and 2011) and the Korea Presidential Group citation in 2015, 2004 and 2003.

Recently, the Church was also named recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II’s Award for Voluntary Service 2016 or also known as, Queen’s Golden Jubilee Award for Voluntary Service 2016 in the United Kingdom.
